New Delhi, July 26 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha on Saturday slammed Union Minister Chirag Paswan over his recent statement criticising Bihar government over the rising crime rate in the state.

He said that Paswan cannot "escape" by just giving statements in the media and stated that he should ask PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to send a fact-checking team to Bihar.

Taking a swipe at a Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president, Chirag Paswan today said that he is "saddened to support such a government," which is not able to curtail the rising crime rate.
