Hyderabad, July 3 -- Bharath Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of ignoring Telangana's pressing concerns in Parliament.

Rama Rao said Gandhi had failed to raise key promises made during the 2014 bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, including national status for an irrigation project and the establishment of the Bayyaram steel plant.

He also accused Gandhi of remaining silent on the Banakacherla project in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, which he claimed could harm Telangana farmers by diverting their water rights from the Godavari river.
