Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 21 -- National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo lauded the Indian shooting contingent for its strong start at the Asian Games 2026 and expressed confidence that the shooters can add several more medals in the remaining events.

India have so far secured five medals in shooting at the continental event, with four silver and one bronze. Elavenil Valarivan won silver in the women's 10m air rifle, while India's men's 10m air rifle team also claimed silver. Himanshu Dhillon and Rudrankksh Patil subsequently added silver and bronze, respectively, in the individual event.
