Patna, July 27 -- Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav criticised the Nitish Kumar-led double-engine government in the state over the prevailing law and order situation.
He said that there have been 97 cases of murder in the past seven days.
"97 murders in 1 day in Bihar. Prime Minister, Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers all useless, criminals are the real government," Yadav, also the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Bihar legislative assembly, posted on X.
Citing several incidents of murder in various districts of Bihar, the RJD leader alleged that criminals were thriving in the state because the "government is sick".
