Agartala, Oct. 5 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday hailed what he described as a "massive victory" for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Village Committee elections under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and appealed to people to maintain peace and communal harmony across the state.

Following the declaration of the election results, Saha spent considerable time at the BJP state headquarters reviewing the post-poll situation and interacting with party workers.

The Chief Minister, who also holds the Health portfolio, said police and the local administration were taking necessary steps to maintain law and order following isolated incidents reported from some areas.
