Patna, July 9 -- In a significant move aimed at enhancing social welfare, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that the state government has streamlined the disbursement of social security pensions, ensuring direct bank transfers by the 10th of every month.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Choudhary stated that a massive corpus of Rs.1,423.94 crore will be distributed to a total of 97.84 lakh beneficiaries across the state. The funds combine financial outlays from both central and state government pension schemes.

"The Bihar government has ensured the payment of Rs 1,100 under the social security pension scheme on the 10th of every month through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)," the Chief Minister tweeted.
