Bantul, Yogyakarta, Oct. 9 -- Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, said the newly completed Pandansimo Bridge in Bantul, Yogyakarta, could become a major tourism landmark on the southern coast, blending functionality with cultural appeal.
"This bridge is not only functional but also visually iconic. I believe it will become a new tourism attraction," Yudhoyono said after inspecting the bridge on Thursday.
Pandansimo Bridge links Bantul and Kulon Progo Districts along the southern coastal route (JJLS), offering travelers stunning views of the Indian Ocean. At 2.3 kilometers long, it is the longest bridge in southern Yogyakarta and will be inaugurated soon.
