Jakarta, Aug. 23 -- The World Trade Organization (WTO) panel issued a ruling supporting Indonesia's position on several key claims in the dispute over the European Union's imposition of countervailing duties on Indonesian biodiesel imports.

"The Indonesian government is committed to continuing to monitor the decision with a solution-oriented approach, prioritizing international collaboration, while simultaneously championing national interests in the global trade arena," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said here on Saturday.

In its ruling, the WTO panel recommended that the European Union align its policies with its obligations under the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (SCM Agreement).
