Manokwari, W Papua, Oct. 4 -- Prosecutors in West Papua have arrested a fugitive convicted in a 2012 cattle procurement graft case that cost the state Rp1 billion (US$64,000), officials said on Saturday.
The convict, identified only as FXN, was captured in Jakarta on Thursday (October 2) by the Attorney General's intelligence unit after eight months on the wanted list.
He was briefly held at Salemba Detention Center before being transferred to Manokwari Class IIB Prison on Saturday.
"This morning, the fugitive arrived and was immediately transferred to prison," said West Papua Prosecutor's Office intelligence chief Muhammad Bardan at Rendani Airport, Manokwari.
