Indonesia, Sept. 10 -- The West Kalimantan Provincial Government, in collaboration with the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), has ramped up weather modification operations, or cloud seeding, to combat forest and land fires by deploying three aircraft.

"As of today, we have deployed three aircraft in cooperation with BNPB. Since September 4, we have been operating three aircraft," Acting Head of the West Kalimantan Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Ridwan, said in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Thursday.
