Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- West Jakarta Police have busted a drug factory linked to an international syndicate, seizing narcotics and production materials valued at Rp119 billion (US$6.64 million) during the raid.

"The seized materials, if produced as drugs, may reach and affect 3.5 million individuals. Their market value is estimated at Rp119 billion," West Jakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner Nasriadi stated during a press conference on Wednesday.

Nasriadi said officers seized 308,000 carisoprodol capsules, weighing a total of 130 kilograms, along with one ton of unprocessed carisoprodol powder stored in 40 drums.
