Jakarta, March 17 -- Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka reminded residents joining the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow to ensure optimal physical condition, as traffic density is projected to peak in the coming days.

"I would like to ask you all to take care along your travels and maintain your health. To those traveling with children, make sure you have eaten before hitting the road. If fatigue sets in, take time to stop at a rest area," he told homecoming travelers.

The vice president conveyed the message while flagging off the departure of 14 buses bound for Central Java and East Java in Jakarta on Tuesday. The trip is part of a free homecoming travel program organized by state-run holding company PT Danareksa.
