Jakarta, July 17 -- Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka directly reviewed the development of the Keramasan waste-to-energy (WtE) plant in Palembang, South Sumatra, to ensure it remains on track to bolster environmental sustainability while strengthening energy security.

He inspected the project site on Thursday (July 16), according to a statement from the Vice Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta on Friday.

During the visit, Gibran received a detailed briefing from plant operational manager Satriawan Kirana, who highlighted the project's role in reducing waste accumulation on a large scale.
