Volcanic ash diverts flights to Kertajati, travel continues by Whoosh
Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- Several flights to Jakarta are planned to be diverted to Kertajati Airport in West Java following volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau, where passengers will continue their journey by buses and the Whoosh high-speed train.
This was conveyed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya on Sunday, adding that due to the evolving situation surrounding the volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau, flight adjustments will be made, including the temporary suspension of Soekarno-Hatta Airport operations.
"Several flights to Jakarta, particularly those from Garuda, have been diverted to Kertajati Airport in West Java. Bus and Whoosh services will be prepared from Kertajati to Jakarta," Teddy informed.
