Depok, West Java, April 16 -- The University of Indonesia (UI) has suspended 16 law students from academic activities between April 15 and May 30, 2026, over alleged verbal sexual harassment, as it seeks to ensure an impartial investigation and protect those involved.
The decision followed an internal memo on an Investigation Follow-up Plan issued by the university's Violence Prevention and Handling (PPK) Task Force on April 15, 2026.
The task force formally recommended the temporary suspension of academic status for the 16 reported students.
