Jakarta, Oct. 4 -- The University of Indonesia's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA UI) and Russian cybersecurity firm Positive Technologies are exploring cooperation on training in data science, AI and cybersecurity, the faculty said.

Sakuranesia Society, which promotes diplomatic, educational, research and cultural exchanges between Indonesia and Japan and other international partners, facilitated the proposal.

"Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence can no longer be separated. AI models require secure data," Head of the FMIPA UI Data Science Center Alhadi Bustamam said in a statement here Sunday.
