Surabaya, East Java, Feb. 11 -- Two terrorism convicts at Surabaya Class I Prison in Porong, East Java, identified as ZY and FA, pledged loyalty to Indonesia on Wednesday, officials said, marking a commitment to abandon radical beliefs.

"Their pledge of allegiance to Indonesia reflects their commitment to leave behind the radical ideology they previously followed," said Surabaya Class I Prison Head Sohibur Rachman in Porong, Sidoarjo.

The event was attended by Yulius Sahruzah, director of Prisoner and Child Development at the Directorate General of Corrections, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections.
