Serang, Banten, Aug. 19 -- Indonesian immigration authorities have deported two Iranian nationals after they were caught on video stealing cash from a mobile credit shop in Serang, Banten, using a distraction tactic in July this year.
The suspects, identified as AM and AF, were blacklisted following the theft at Chayra Cell, which went viral on Instagram on July 18. The pair were arrested in East Jakarta on July 28 after a multi-city search.
AM and AF were deported on August 14 and recommended for entry bans, Serang Immigration Office Chief I Gusti Agung Komang Artawan said.
