Jakarta, Sept. 29 -- Deputy Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Veronica Tan lauded the implementation of the "1 Day 2 Eggs" program, which aims to prevent child stunting from an early age.

"I have visited schools, from childcare centers for infants aged three months to three years, to kindergartens and elementary schools, to kick off the piloting of the 1 Day 2 Eggs program to meet children's nutritional needs," she said in the ministry's statement here on Monday.

The kick-off event was held in an elementary school in Rungau Village, Seruyan District, Central Kalimantan, and organized by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation of Indonesia, on Sunday (September 28).
