Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- The Transportation Ministry plans to integrate TransJakarta, the public bus service, with Tanjung Priok Port to ensure more regular transportation services.

"We have initiated discussions, and this is only the beginning. We will highlight it again. We try to initiate this because we have data," the ministry's director of transportation modes facility integration, Sigit Irfansyah, stated here on Tuesday.

According to Sigit, TransJakarta buses serve Tanjung Priok, but only on request, such as during Eid. He believes TransJakarta is an ideal solution to reduce traffic congestion in the city, as its advantages, such as affordable fares, encourage private vehicle users to switch to public transportation.
