Jakarta, Aug. 21 -- The Director General of Railways of the Transportation Minister, Allan Tandiono, emphasized that trains as a form of public transportation are designated as smoke-free zones (KTR) to ensure the health and comfort of all passengers.

Tandiono on Thursday explained that this regulation refers to Law Number 36 of 2012 concerning Health and Government Regulation Number 109 of 2012 concerning the protection of tobacco products for health.

He underlined that trains, like other forms of public transportation, have been designated as smoke-free zones, and therefore, are obligated to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable travel environment.
