Nganjuk, East Java, Oct. 3 -- Trade Minister Budi Santoso conducted an unannounced inspection of staple commodity prices and availability at Wage Market in Nganjuk District, East Java, on Friday.
According to Kediri branch head of state-run logistics company Bulog, Harisun, the minister aimed to gain a firsthand view of basic goods and identify areas where government intervention may be needed to keep prices stable and affordable.
"The visit was part of efforts to ensure price stability, particularly for rice, so that basic goods remain affordable," Harisun said while accompanying the minister.
During the visit, Santoso inspected supplies of rice, cooking oil, chicken, beef, and other essentials, while engaging directly with merchants....
