Jakarta, Aug. 9 -- Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa has underscored the importance of environmental sustainability in developing Indonesia's tourism sector.
"The development of Indonesia's tourism must prioritize competitive sustainable tourism that offers unique experiences and high value," Ni Luh said in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday.
Speaking at the Karya Kreatif Indonesia 2025 talkshow titled "Next-Gen Tourism: Smart Competition, Great Development, Sustainability" held in Jakarta on Thursday (August 7), Ni Luh noted that the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) mandates the development of quality and environmentally sustainable tourism.
