Jakarta, June 14 -- The Ministry of Tourism is intensifying the implementation of the Clean Tourism Movement program at tourist destinations across Indonesia as part of its efforts to advance sustainable tourism.

"We continue to strengthen the Clean Tourism Movement as part of the sustainable tourism development in destinations," the ministry informed ANTARA on Saturday (June 13).

The program promotes improved waste management, reduced use of single-use plastics, the provision of adequate cleanliness facilities, and greater awareness among tourists, businesses, and local communities to practice responsible tourism.
