Tourism Ministry backs planned restoration of Prambanan Temple
Jakarta, July 10 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism is supporting the planned restoration and conservation efforts for the Prambanan Temple Compounds to be carried out under the collaboration of the Indonesian and Indian governments.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (July 8) inaugurated a partnership for the conservation and restoration of Prambanan Temple, a Hindu temple complex in Yogyakarta.
"Restoration and conservation efforts will not only preserve Prambanan Temple as a historic site but also elevate its appeal as a tourist attraction," Ministry of Tourism spokesperson Nia Niscaya told ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.
