Jakarta, Sept. 27 -- The Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) will hold a full-dress rehearsal for its 80th anniversary celebration at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta in early October, a military official said Saturday.

TNI Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Freddy Ardianzah said a preliminary rehearsal will take place at the end of September, followed by the final run-through in early October. He did not disclose exact dates.

"The full rehearsal will simulate the entire ceremony, including the parade, military hardware showcase, ground and air combat simulations, parachute jumps, and fighter jet maneuvers," Freddy told ANTARA.

He said preparations are about 80 percent complete, despite some challenges during training at the venue.
