Wamena, Oct. 29 -- The Indonesian Military Task Force of Infantry Battalion 521/DY, stationed at the Kobakma Post in Central Mamberamo District, Highland Papua, continues to provide free medical services for local residents.
The initiative aims to improve public welfare, health, and quality of life in remote areas of Papua.
Lieutenant Colonel Rahadyan Surya Murdata, Commander of the Yonif 521/DY Task Force, emphasized the program's focus on reaching underserved communities.
"The activity includes free medical services such as health check-ups, treatment, and health counseling in remote areas, particularly in regions where access to healthcare facilities remains limited," he said in a statement received in Wamena on Wednesday.
