Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita confirmed that discussions about reforming the regulation related to the domestic component level (TKDN) policy will soon enter the final stage.

"I can confirm that discussions regarding the TKDN reform are nearly at the final stage, and tomorrow, the final document will be sent to the Ministry of Law for immediate harmonization," Minister Kartasasmita stated at the Ministry of Industry office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He noted that the Ministry of Industry is conducting a public hearing by inviting business associations to gather input on the draft of the new ministerial regulation on the TKDN policy.
