Taman Safari Indonesia welcomes four rare Sumatran tiger cubs
Pasuruan, E Java, June 4 -- Taman Safari Indonesia II Prigen in Pasuruan District, East Java Province, has introduced four Sumatran tiger cubs born in March, marking a breeding success for one of the world's most endangered big cat species and supporting conservation efforts to boost its declining population.
The four cubs were born on March 23, 2026, at Taman Safari Indonesia II Prigen to Praja, a male tiger, and Dini, a female tiger, the park said on Wednesday.
The birth was particularly significant because it marked Dini's second successful litter after she gave birth to two Sumatran tiger cubs, Isyana and Aura, on May 4, 2021, the park's Vice President of Life Sciences Bongot Huaso Mulia said.
