Jakarta, Sept. 27 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono highlighted ASEAN's success in strengthening partnerships and maintaining the resilience of Southeast Asia amid global dynamics.

"For almost six decades, ASEAN has managed differences, maintained communication, and continued seeking common ground. This is the strength that comes from ASEAN unity and centrality," he said in Indonesia's national statement delivered before the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Saturday (September 26).

Sugiono stated that Southeast Asia holds the world's fifth-largest economy, supported by the world's largest productive-age population and a rapidly growing digital economy.
