New York, Sept. 26 -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono underlined peace as the fundamental foundation to the pressing global challenges facing the world today.

Speaking at the 2nd G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting (FMM) on Thursday, held on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, Sugiono emphasized the vital role peace plays in sustainable development and successful cooperation.

"Indonesia believes that peace is the great enabler, if we want sustainable development, if we want successful cooperation. Because without peace, our common agendas become impossible," Foreign Minister Sugiono affirmed.
