Jakarta, Aug. 13 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that the government is continuing to improve the management and distribution system for subsidized fertilizer to ensure it reaches eligible farmers more effectively.

"We want farmers to no longer face difficulties in accessing fertilizer. The new system is simpler, under strict supervision, and is expected to boost agricultural productivity while strengthening Indonesia's food security," Amran noted in a statement on Wednesday.

Director General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities at the Ministry of Agriculture Andi Nur Alam Syah confirmed that the current fertilizer distribution system is being implemented in accordance with a Presidential Regulation.
