Banjarmasin, Sept. 1 -- South Kalimantan Marine and Fisheries Office is developing albumin as a natural protein extracted from fish as a value-added fishery product.

Head of the S Kalimantan Marine and Fisheries Office Rusdi Hartono, said the development of albumin is a step forward in transforming fishery resources into higher economic value products with broader applications.

"Albumin represents a value-added application of fishery products. Beyond meeting the public's protein needs, its development can also create new economic opportunities within the fisheries sector," Hartono said in Banjarbaru on Tuesday.
