Indonesia, May 15 -- Researchers from Banua Botanical Garden in South Kalimantan Province have discovered 56 rare plant species during an exploration in Dukuh Rejo Village, Tanah Bumbu District, marking progress in efforts to conserve native flora.

Head of the garden's ex-situ plant research and conservation section, Muhammad Ferza Listyannoor, said the exploration focused on the area surrounding Liang Bangkai Cave, which is known for its rich biodiversity.
