Bandung, W Java, Aug. 20 -- Indonesian police evacuated the body of a 33-year-old South African man found dead in an apartment room in Bandung City, West Java, police said on Thursday.

Bandung City Police Spokeswoman Adjunct Commissioner Nurindah Murdiani said the man, identified by his initials LS, was found on Wednesday (Aug 19) evening after several witnesses noticed an unpleasant odor coming from the room where LS was staying.

"We have questioned three witnesses, and the body has been evacuated," Nurindah said, adding that the witnesses went to the man's apartment room at the Jarrdin complex after noticing the foul smell coming from inside.
