Jakarta, Sept. 11 -- A total of 17,800 joint personnel will secure the Persija Jakarta-Persib Bandung football match at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium on Saturday (September 12), police said.

Greater Jakarta Police Deputy Chief Inspector General Dekananto Eko Purwono said the large-scale operation involves the Jaya Military Command and Jakarta provincial government to ensure the match runs safely and orderly.

"For the Persija-Persib match, Greater Jakarta Police, together with the Jaya Military Command and Jakarta provincial government, are deploying 17,800 personnel," he said after a Jaga Jakarta preparation routine on Friday.
