Tangerang, Banten, March 3 -- Indonesia's main gateway, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, said 15 Middle East-bound flights were canceled on Tuesday, the latest disruption as regional tensions escalate and airlines adjust operations.
State airport operator PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, also known as InJourney Airports, said the cancellations were recorded as of 7:00 a.m. local time.
"Based on operational data as of 7:00 a.m., 15 flights to the Middle East were canceled," Acting Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs Aziz Fahmi Harahap said.
The canceled services include Abu Dhabi flights EY472 and EY473 operated by Etihad Airways.
