Jakarta, July 19 -- Deputy Social Affairs Minister Agus Jabo Priyono emphasized that every student at Sekolah Rakyat has unique potential that will be nurtured and developed throughout their education at the school.

In a statement here on Sunday, he said such encouragement is important to help overcome feelings of inferiority often experienced by children from underprivileged families.

"Each of you is valuable. You all have potential that will be developed at Sekolah Rakyat," he said while speaking with 60 students participating in the school orientation period at high-school-level Sekolah Rakyat (SRMA) 15 in Magelang, Central Java.
