Jayapura, Papua, July 12 -- Deputy Chief of Papua Police Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, on Friday, handed over compensation to the heirs of three police officers who lost their lives in attacks by Papuan rebels.

The fallen police officers comprise Brigadier Ronaldo M. Enok, 1st Adjunct Inspector Hidayat Suratno Harto, and Brigadier Tri Yudha Argadianto.

Each of the fallen heroes' heirs received Rp450 million (around US$27,748) in compensation, while each of their children was awarded a scholarship worth Rp30 million (US$1,849) to support their continued education.
