Jakarta, Oct. 6 -- The Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) handed over 259,230.73 hectares of reclaimed forest area land to the Forestry Ministry in its phase 8 handover.

The symbolic handover was carried out by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, witnessed by President Prabowo Subianto at the Attorney General's Office building here on Tuesday.

Burhanuddin said in his presentation that the hundreds of thousands of hectares consist of plantation sector land covering 140,762.04 hectares, forest conservation and protected forest areas covering 118,256.74 hectares, and mining sector land covering 211.95 hectares.
