Tangerang, Banten, Sept. 22 -- Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said the country has yet to join the ASEAN Power Grid, as negotiations over electricity pricing remain ongoing.

"The price point is not a win-win, yet," Lahadalia said on the sidelines of the Electricity Connect 2026 event held in Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday.

Lahadalia revealed his ministry had engaged in discussions with Malaysia regarding the ASEAN Power Grid commitment, an initiative stemming from the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Philippines.

He acknowledged he had not yet signed the commitment since, based on his calculations, Indonesia would not receive a fair share of the benefits.
