Jakarta, Nov. 11 -- Deputy Minister of Forestry Rohmat Marzuki said the Indonesian Pavilion at COP30 in Brazil aims to demonstrate that the forestry sector plays a strategic role not only in achieving the country's emission reduction targets but also in improving community welfare.
"Through the Indonesian Pavilion, the ministry seeks to show that forest management in Indonesia is not only about protecting forests but also about upholding social justice and enhancing community welfare," Marzuki said in an official statement on Tuesday.
He explained that the Forestry and Other Land Uses (FOLU) Net Sink 2030 program represents Indonesia's strong commitment to strengthening community-based conservation efforts.
