Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait has met Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition/Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia to discuss plans to develop housing areas equipped with solar power systems.

The proposed housing developments would feature gas networks and electricity systems powered by solar energy.

"We have discussed plans to develop housing equipped with gas networks and solar-powered electricity systems in several areas that will be developed by the housing minister," Bahlil said at a press conference at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office in Jakarta on Friday.
