Jakarta, Oct. 8 -- Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has expressed confidence that Indonesia-Malaysia economic relations will continue to strengthen in the years ahead, driven by robust growth in bilateral trade and investment.
Delivering his remarks at a Malaysia Day event on Tuesday evening, Sadewa revealed that trade between the two countries reached US$23 billion in 2024.
"Malaysia has also become one of Indonesia's leading global investment partners," he said, noting that Malaysian investments in Indonesia totaled US$4.2 billion last year.
Tourism also saw encouraging progress, with 1.7 million visits recorded in 2024. Sadewa said this achievement opens new opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade and financial sectors...
