Jakarta, March 27 -- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said that Indonesia is still in talks with the Iranian government to secure the release of two Pertamina tankers from the Strait of Hormuz.

"It is not easy for us to find a way to get our ships out of the Strait of Hormuz. However, we continue to maintain communication," he conveyed when met in Jakarta on Friday.

The state-owned oil company, PT Pertamina, had previously ensured the safety of the crew of the tanker owned by PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) awaiting clearance in the Strait of Hormuz, amid geopolitical tensions between Iran and the United States.
