Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Indonesia's Manpower Minister Yassierli called on company leaders to adopt a human-centered approach to occupational safety and health, urging a shift in mindset to build a stronger workplace safety culture.

"It is important for businesses to shift their mindset and adopt a human-centered approach when developing workplace safety culture," Yassierli said in a statement on Thursday.

He outlined three key areas where traditional thinking about occupational safety and health (K3) needs to evolve.

First, the minister said, safety should not be defined merely by the absence of accidents but by a company's capacity to implement effective safety programs.
