Jakarta, Aug. 25 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Atip Latipulhayat has said that the introduction of deep learning methods in schools will not add to the workload of teachers or students.

In response to public concerns here Monday, Latipulhayat said the policy is often misunderstood as an expansion of academic content, when in fact it aims to deepen understanding rather than widen the curriculum.

"This is not about adding more content but about focusing on depth," he said during a podcast on the dissemination of information for the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education's Regulation Number 13 of 2025.
