RI Govt prepares WIM technology for zero ODOL in 2027
Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- The Indonesian government is preparing Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) technology to weigh freight vehicles as part of its plan to enforce a zero over-dimension over-loading (ODOL) policy in 2027.
Coordinating Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said WIM facilities will be installed at strategic locations, including industrial zones and routes linking ports with industrial areas.
"We have to make sure that before a truck moves from one point to another, for example, from a port to an industrial area, weighing equipment is in place," he said here Wednesday.
