Jakarta, Oct. 27 -- Indonesia's Health Ministry has awarded fellowships to 867 medical specialists as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare education, support health system transformation, and expand access to quality medical services nationwide.
Health Ministry Director General for Human Resources, Yuli Farianti, announced the figure on Monday during the commemoration of National Doctors' Day 2025.
She said the fellowship program targets treatment for priority diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke, and uro-nephrology disorders.
