Jakarta, July 10 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) and the Qatari Ministry of Labour are exploring cooperation in the placement of Indonesian migrant workers in the health, hospitality, and information and technology (IT) sectors.

"(We) have agreed and are working to build cooperation between the two countries in the placement of migrant workers in Qatar," Minister of P2MI, Abdul Kadir Karding, informed after a meeting at the ministry here on Thursday.

At an earlier meeting on Wednesday, the two parties had discussed the potential for cooperation in worker placements in Qatar.
